Our new look!

Our in-house graphics guru, Thomas, has taken our existing logo (in place since 2003, when our inaugural president Bernard approved its use) and given it a beautiful new color-scheme and make-over, one which will take us well beyond our 65th year. To support the update, this very website has been given a lick of paint, making everything fresh and clean. You’ll see the gold logo on all our social sites (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube), a well as adorning anything we produce, such as new editions Just Dino, of course, and marketing material both online and physical (mainly across Steubenville in the coming months!).

Let us know what you think!

The Morning After The Weekend Before

We think it’s fair to say that The Dean Martin Hometown Festival 2025 was a resounding success!

Held over three days in Steubenville, starting June 12, 2025, we were delighted to see so many of you there. The Spot Bar was full to the brim for our live shows and the Dino Dash 5k had a fabulous turnout. We had to contend with the weather and a concern regarding the parade, but all in all…memories were made of this.

We’ll be bringing you a full review of the entire event in our next edition of Just Dino (to receive your FREE copy, join our mailing list here, if you haven’t already done so) and we’ll shortly be posting photos on the festival Instagram page.

And finally, if you did get to the festival, we’d love to hear from you with your thoughts and feedback. We may even include your comments in Just Dino #434!

Matt Helm Rides Again

Regularly dismissed, occasionally maligned and sometimes ignored outright, love them or loathe them, Dino’s four spy movies form a distinct part of his repertoire.

We here at the DMA of course have all the time in the world for the Matt Helms films. We love them very much! Nobody does it better than Dean as a suave, lounge lizard super-spy with a bevy of Slaygirls and bad guys to deal with. Markedly different from the source novels of Donald Hamilton (and let’s face it, so were the Bond movies from Ian Fleming’s literary originals), they were designed with Dean in mind.

We’d like to point you in the direction of the team at Infinity Magazine, who last month released a special edition of the long-running and really rather excellent publication. They ran a fantastic piece on Dean’s tenure as Matt Helm and we highly recommend it. Click on the image to take you to Infinity’s site. You won’t be disappointed!

Christmas Nutcrackers

Originating from late-17th Century Germany, nutcracker dolls were often given as gifts and at some point became more associated with Christmas.

Every year for the Holiday Season, Dean’s hometown Steubenville, Ohio hosts its very own Nutcracker Village event, drawing thousands of people to the downtown. Over the years, the event has become a remarkable tourist attraction, supporting the local community and businesses as a result.

We at the DMA are delighted to sponsor the Dean Martin Nutcracker for 2024.

If you have the chance, we highly recommend you heading on over to Steubenville. With over 200 life-size nutcrackers, it’s the world’s largest collection. Running until January 10, 2025, the event is free and open to the public 24 hours a day, with additional events and activities on select days. Head on over to the official website for more details!
